Game 8 -- Babson 7, Clark 0 Print E-mail
QUAKER HILL, CONN.-- Babson College took advantage of three home runs and a triple to top the Cougars of Clark University by a score of 7-0. With the victory Babson improves to 23-18 on the season and Clark falls to 16-17 on the season with the loss. Babson was led by pitcher Christina Miguel who picked up her second win on the day and did not allow a single run to be scored in her two complete game shutouts and 12 inning pitched on the afternoon.

Babson opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning Jackie Enos who reached base on a lead off walk would later be forced in when Jessica Winer drew a RBI walk with the bases loaded.

The Beavers added four runs in the bottom of the second inning sparked by a RBI triple down the left field line by Enos. Enos would then score when Catie Funk capped the Babson half of the second inning with a two run homerun down the left field line.

Babson would score two more run in the game both on solo home runs by Tess Pilkington in the bottom of the fourth inning and the last by Jess Winer in the bottom of the fourth inning to give Beavers seven runs on five hits and no errors to defeat the Cougars who would finish the game with no runs on six hits and two errors.
