Game 5 - Babson 10, Wellesley 0 (5 Innings) |

QUAKER HILL, CONN.-- In game number five of the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference softball tournament. The Beavers of Babson College defeated the Blue of Wellesley College by a score of 10-0 in five innings.
With the victory Babson improves to 22-18 on the season. Pitcher Christina Miguel led the Beavers in the winning effort by throwing a complete game shutout and scattering five Wellesley hits in the Babson win.
Babson left fielder Jessica Pashos led the Beaver offensive effort with two hits over her four at bats with two runs batted in.
The Babson Beavers began the scoring in the top of the first with a pair of runs by way of wild pitches when Jackie Enos led off the game by drawing a walk later scoring on the wild pitch followed by Jessica Pashos who reached on an infield single and later scored on a wild pitch to round out the scoring for the Beavers in the top of the first.
Babson continued the scoring attach in the top of the second inning Lisa Wojnar started off the Beavers with a leadoff walk and then scored on a RBI single to right field by Jackie Enos.
Babson Increased the Beaver lead in the top of the third inning to 5-0 scoring two runs. Catie Funk who led off the Babson third with a double to right centerfield gap and later scored on a single by Nicole Latini who also scored for the Beavers.
The Beavers continued the offence in the top of the fourth inning scoring two unearned runs by drawing a pair of walks and taking advantage of two Wellesley errors.
Wellesley finished the game with no runs on five hits and four errors leaving six runners on base falling to the Beavers of Babson who finished the game with 10 runs on seven hits and no errors also leaving six runners on base.
