United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Men's Crew

KINGSTON, R.I.--(4/18/09)--Coast Guard had a great outing against Division I rivals UMass and URI as the varsity 8 won the race by five seconds over URI and seven seconds over UMass.

In the boat were Andrew Haley, Roy Cromer, Tom Olsen, Nick Iannorone, Phil Constantine, Kris Kesting, Tomas Nojokitis, Dan Swaim and Andrew Slater.

The 2nd Varsity also won handily over URI. The line up was John Olbrys, Sam Merrit, Bryan Kelly, Brian Bonomi, Tomas Mamaniskis, Austin King, Joe Direnzo, Dan Halsig and Courtney Elder.

The USCGA Freshman won in convincing style over the UMass freshman and the URI 3rd varsity. Colin Schembri, Tyler Patrick, Erich Dix, Bo Wowtshuk, Steve Atler, George Greendyk, Nick Cosenza, Jake Conrad and Will Rimmler made up the Bears boat.

The Coast Guard varsity 4 lost a heart breaker to URI and UMass.
Sam Arnold, Billy Campbell, James Hauser, Evan Steckle and Bailey made up the Coast Guard team.
