Women's Outdoor Track - Bears Place Third at Springfield
Alaina Kiskaddon won the 400 hurdles and was part of a winning relay for the Bears.
SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(4/11/09)--Coast Guard placed third of three teams at a tri-meet hosted by Springfield College.
Emily Zalewski and Dana Tomc went one-two in the 400 meters with times of 1:01.94, 1:02.57 while the Bears 4x400 relay team of Tomc, Margaret Kratz, Alaina Kiskaddon and Zalewski won with a time of 4:25.39.
Also for the Bears, Mary Morgan won the javelin with a throw of 99 feet, five inches, Anne Jefferson won the discus (118-8) and Bryce Van Cleef won the 3,000 meter steeplechase (12:32.96) and Kiskaddon won the 400 meter hurdles (1:11.54).
Patty Van Cleave was second in the high jump (4-9.75) and KC Gaudette was second in the 800 meters (2:28.88).
Host Springfield scored 213.50 points to WPI's 86 and Coast Guard's 81.50.
