Carl Luxhoj won both the long jump and triple jump leading Coast Guard to victory.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/4/09)--Carl Luxhoj won the triple jump (47' 4.5") and long jump (22' 6.25") as Coast Guard won the 12-team Coast Guard Invitational.
Luxhoj's triple jump mark is a provisional qualifier for the NCAA National Championships.
Pat Bennett won the 200 (23.26) and finshed second in the 100 (11.24).
Tom Adams won the 400 with a time of 50.64 and anchored the 4 x 400 relay with teammates Kyle Coleman, Josh Wofford, and David Boyle.
Also for the Bears, Mike Haas won the 1500 (4:05.58), Kevin O'Brien won the 5000 (15:50.26), Kyle Coleman ran the 400 Hurdles with a winning time of 55.74 while Jordan Kellam won the Pole Valut (14'2.75").
