Men's Soccer - O'Brien Selected for NEISL All-Star Game
David O'Brien will play in the NEISL All-Star Game on May 2nd.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/30/09)--Coast Guard Academy senior midfielder David O’Brien has been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game at Clark University on May 2nd at 2 p.m.
The NEISL All-Star game features players from Divisions I, II, and III.
O’Brien, who was a second-team All-New England selection, earning All-New England honors for the first time, was also a first team All-conference selection in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), for the second straight season finished the season with five goals and two assists.
Coast Guard captured the ECAC New England Division III Championship and did not allow a goal in the entire tournament, to win the program’s third ECAC Championship and first since 1998. The Bears finished 13-8-1 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
