Alyssa McDonald was named an All-American in Sport Pistol
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/23/09)--Coast Guard Academy senior Alyssa McDonald had been named to the All-American team in Sport Pistol.
Consistent and exemplary performance is a hallmark, perhaps the most evident characteristic, of the honor. All-American is a very difficult award to earn—it is based on an entire season’s match scores and is extremely competitive. The signature award for a collegiate All-American is a Golden Bullet tie tac: McDonald is now among the very few pistol shooters that can wear that award.
