Softball - Feindel Named NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week
Hayley Feindel was a perfect 7-0 at the Rebel Games.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/16/09)--Coast Guard Academy freshman Hayley Feindel had a quite a start to her collegiate career last week and she has been named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Week.
Feindel was outstanding on the Bears trip to the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Fla. She posted a 7-1 record with a 0.91 ERA. She had 84 strikeouts in 61.3 innings pitched with just eight earned runs allowed. Feindel also had three shutouts.
Coast Guard was 8-2 on the trip and open conference play at Wheaton, a doubleheader, on Saturday at noon.
