Carl Luxhoj took sixth in both the long jump and triple jump.
BOSTON, MASS.--(2/14/09)--Carl Luxhoj finished 6th in the long jump (22-5)and triple jump (46-1.5) and his triple jump mark was a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships at Boston University's Valentine's Classic.
David Boyle broke the school record in the 500 meters (1:05.20) previously held by Carl Messale (1:05.40) in 1994.
Also in the sprints, Tom Adams ran a season best 49.81 in the 400 meters. Boyle and Adams ran on the 4x400 meter relay with Jesse Cremeans and Kyle Coleman, running a season best time of 3:21.30.
Pat Fernandez ran a personal record in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:32.22 and Chris Marquis ran 1:59 in the 800 meteres.
In the 3000 meters, Andrew Price and Nate Crum ran 8:52.88 and 8:59.67 respectively.
Also, Mike Persun ran 4:19.20 in the mile and Zach Hennighausen ran 15:29.29 in the 5000 meters. Fernandez, Marquis, Crum, and Hennighausen all qualified for the Division III New England Championships. Price and Persun also qualified for the ECAC Championship.
