PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(2/4/09)--Sophomore Kevin Sutherland picked up his team-leading 32nd win with a technical fall victory at 149 lbs. and RIC recorded three forfeit wins to lead the Anchormen past Coast Guard, 35-9, in a Pilgrim Wrestling League match on Wednesday evening at The Murray Center.

With RIC leading, 6-3, sophomore Travis Drappi overcame an injury during his match to down eighth-ranked Coast Guard junior Andrew Armstrong, 7-6, at 141 lbs. to key a four-match win streak for the hosts. Sutherland followed with his win, then freshman Mike Trasso and classmate Jordan Jacquo each took forfeits.

Coast Guard senior Kevin Robinson kept the visitors in the match with a 7-5 win at 174 lbs. Sophomore Chris Dean sealed the win with a 7-1 decision over sophomore Greg Bredariol at 184 lbs.

Freshman Anthony Signorello won at 133 pounds to pickup the Bears other three points.

RIC freshman Steve Saba pinned freshman Gary Glatz at 4:18 to cap the victory.

The hosts raise their record to 14-5-1 overall and 2-1 in league action, while the visitors lose for sixth straight match and fall to 2-11 overall and 0-4 in the league.
