 Sarah-Jane Otey won a pair of individual events and was part of a winning relay team in the win over Clark. WORCESTER, MASS.--(1/31/09)--Sarah-Jane Otey and Kim Shadwick each won a pair of individual events and both were part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team leading Coast Guard to a 137-106 win over host Clark.
Otey won the 100 freestyle (55.82) and the 200 freestyle (2:00.30) while Shadwick won the 500 freestyle (5:20.08) and the 1,000 freestyle (10:43.25) and the 200 freestyle relay team of Heidi Gayman, Emily Zalewski, Otey and Shadwick posted a winning time of 1:43.40
Gayman also won the 50 freestyle (25.69), Samantha Sworden won the 200 backstroke (2:21.87) and Krystyna Vihonski won the 200 breaststroke (2:34.61).
Also for the Bears, the 400 yard medley relay team of Sworden, Vihonski, Megan Willman and Gayman won with a time of 4:18.27.
The Bears improved to 4-5-1 in dual meets this season. |
