NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/27/09)--WPI won four of the seven matches that were contested while also picking up three forfeit wins in a 33-14 win over Coast Guard.
Bryan Conrad (133) won by major decision with a 19-3 win, Andrew Armstrong, who trailed 5-2, came back for an 8-6 overtime win at 149 pounds and the Bears trailed 12-8 after four matches.
Matt Leisy, who trailed 6-2, won by pin at 5:41 at 165 pounds cutting the WPI lead to 15-14, but WPI won the final four matches, two by forfeit to improve to 8-7 on the season.
Coast Guard drops to 2-9 in dual meets this season.
