Sam Sworden won three events to lead the Bears to a pair of victories.
WELLESLEY, MASS.--(1/13/09)--Sam Sworden won three events while Kim Shadwick and Heidi Gayman won two individual events and a relay as the Bears beat Babson 207-84 and host Wellesley 193-100 to open the second semester.

Sworden won the 1,000 freestyle (11:12.15), 200 butterfly (2:19.63) and the 500 freestyle (5:30.02).

Shadwick won both the 100 backstroke (1:04.20) and the 200 backstroke (2:17.13) while Gayman captured the 200 freestyle (2:00.65) and the 100 freestyle (56.68).

Shadwick teamed with Krystyna Vihonski, Megan Willman and Sarah-Jane Otey to win the 400 medley relay (4:14.47) while Gayman, Otey, Amy Olson and Emily Zalewski won the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:49.37.

Also winning for the Bears were Anais Greenley in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.54) and Vihonski in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.99) as the Bears improved to 3-2-1 on the season.
