Wrestling - Conrad Leads Bears to 5th Place Finish
Bryan Conrad won the championship at 133 pounds as the Bears placed fifth overall.
PLYMOUTH, N.H.--(1/10/09)--Senior Bryan Conrad won the championship at 133 pounds as Coast Guard placed 5th of eight teams at the Plymouth State Invitational.
Conrad beat Ken Francis from Bridgewater State 7-6 in the championship match.
Junior Troy Robison took third place at heavyweight as he pinned Jake Gagnon from Plymouth State in just 1:08 in the third place match.
Also for the Bears, junior Andrew Armstrong placed fourth at 141 pounds and junior Matt Leisy placed fourth at 165 pounds.
Coast Guard finished with 75 points, just 5.5 behind fourth place Bridgewater State. Wesleyan won with 189 points.
