Women's Swimming - Shadwick Selected NEWMAC Swimmer of the Week
Kim Shadwick was a three event winner to earn NEWMAC weekly honors.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/17/08)--Coast Guard Academy sophomore Kim Shadwick was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Shadwick won three events in a tri-meet, a tie with Wheaton and loss to NYU.
She broke the school record by 5.13 seconds in winning the 200 backstroke (2:12). She also won the 100 backstroke (1:02.12) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.42), finishing just 0.3 seconds off the school record in the butterfly event.
