Kim Shadwick won three events and was part of a record-setting relay in the loss.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/8/08)--Freshman Heidi Gayman and sophomore Kim Shadwick each won three events and were part of the 400 freestyle relay team which set a pool record in the Bears 144-118 loss to SUNY-New Paltz in the first dual meet of the season.

Gayman won the 200 freestyle (1:58.27), 50 freestyle (25:38) and the 100 freestyle (54.67).

Shadwick captured the 1,000 freestyle (10:50.76), 100 backstroke (1:02.02) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.80).

Gayman, sophomore Sarah-Jane Otey, junior Amy Olson and Shadwick set the pool record, winning the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:42.23.
