United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Women's Cross Country - Bears Place 2nd at Wellesley Invitational

WELLESLEY, MASS.--(10/25/08)--Senior Gwen English was the top Coast Guard finisher as she was fifth overall and the Bears placed second at the Wellesley Invitational.

Host Wellesley finished with 19 points while Coast Guard's 36 points were second.

Coast Guard took the 5th thru 8th spots overall as English had a time of 20:26 over the 5,000 meter course to place fifth.

Junior Tessa Knott (20:36), sophomore Colin Fall (21:20) and freshman Katie Schumacher (21:28) were sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.
