United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics - Pistol

U.S. Coast Guard Academy Pistol is underway and all ahead full for the 2008-2009 NRA Division 1 season.

After having a novice team leading the way last year, the Bears now have a large group of well seasoned shooters. With new captains, seniors Mike Langelier and Alyssa McDonald taking the reins with confidence and high expectations, they anticipate a prosperous season resulting with some new “bling” to decorate the Academy walls.

Some returning stars from nationals are seniors Rabii Boughdiri, Langelier, McDonald and sophomore Joshua Schwartz. Aiding to the Bears rise to success this season will be returning shooters, seniors John Mansolillo and Weston Kruse, junior Hayla Dubolsky along with sophomores Heather Johanson, Dan Cahill, Brenden Kelley, Alexander Rulon and Jillian Hoffman.

By starting the shooting season a few weeks earlier than previous years, the team hopes with this extra practice and even greater dedication, that the efforts will well pay off by nationals.
