 Chris Hoffman won his singles match and teamed up with Blake Maurer to win doubles in the win over Wheaton. CAMBRIDGE, MASS.--(4/30/11)--Third-seeded Coast Guard beat second-seeded Wheaton 5-1 at MIT to advance to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship match for just the second time in school history.
The Bears, who are 11-9 overall, will take on top-seed and host MIT on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Engineers have never lost in NEWMAC tournament play. MIT has won all 12 NEWMAC tournament championships.

 Matt Faha won both his singles and was part of the winning #2 doubles as the Bears beat Clark. WORCESTER, MASS.--(4/29/11)--Visiting Coast Guard Academy wrapped up the 2011 NEWMAC regular season with a 5-4 win over Clark University on Friday afternoon at the Corash Tennis Courts.
The Bears improve to 10-9 overall and 3-2 in league play with the win – a match that ended less than 24 hours before Coast Guard opens up conference tournament play against Wheaton.
Clark, meanwhile, who entered the match winners of three of its last four, ends its season at 5-11 overall and 0-5 in conference action.
The Bears won two of the three doubles matches, including at No.1 where Chris Hoffman and Blake Maurer defeated Harris Rollinger and Dan Hall, 8-5. |

MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(4/27/11)--Wesleyan won all six singles matches enroute to an 8-1 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference match.
Chris Hoffman and Blake Maurer got the only point of the match with a 9-8 win at #1 doubles.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/19/11)--Connecticut College won all three doubles matches to start off and held off host and rival Coast Guard 5-4.
The doubles matches were closely contested, but the Camels managed to sweep all three. The closest match was #3 doubles with junior co-captain Greg Mitchell and junior Matt Faha falling to freshman Will Tucker and sophomore Mike Decorato 7-4 in the tiebreaker.
Singles points were won by Mitchell (#1), sophomore Blake Maurer (#5), and freshmen Chris Hoffman (#3) and Josh Fischer (#4).
The match was moved indoors in the middle of the doubles action due to rain.
