NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/29/08)--Coast Guard dropped its New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener to Babson 7-2.

Chris Pappe (#1 singles) and Tim Ozimek (#3 singles) won their matches for the Bears (1-7, 0-1).

Tennis - RIC beats Bears 5-4

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(3/25/08)--Rhode Island College improved to 2-0 on the season in a closely contested, 5-4, win over Coast Guard.

The two teams split the singles matches, with RIC¹s, 2-1 margin in doubles proving to be the difference.

Coast Guard (1-6) took three of the top four singles flights, as
Chris Pappe won at No. 1 singles, James Vuckovic won at No. 2 singles and Brett Sillman won at No. 4 singles.

Also, Pappe teamed with Vuckovic to win at No. 1 doubles for Coast Guard.

Men's Tennis - Bears Fall to Vassar

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/24/08)--Defending Liberty League champion Vassar beat Coast Guard 8-1 in the first match of the second semester as the Bears dropped to 1-4 on the season.

Ryan Beck and Chris Pappe got Bears' only point with an 8-6 win at #1 doubles.

Men's Tennis - Bears Blanked by DI Boston University

BOSTON, MASS.--(10/20/07)--Division I Boston University beat Coast Guard 7-0 in the final match of the Fall.

Coast Guard is now 1-3 for the year in dual match play. The Terriers dominated singles play. Chris Pappe at #2 and Tim Ozimek at #4 were the only CGA singles players able to win games.

The lone bright spot on the day was the #3 doubles where Vince Falco and Cody Isaacson got their first win of the year 9-8 (7-5).
