Men's Tennis - Bears Blank MMA; Clinch Superintendent's Trophy
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/24/07)--Coast Guard won all 15 sets to cruise past rival Merchant Marine 9-0 and clinch the Superintendent's Trophy awarded to the school that wins the most athletic events between Coast Guard and Merchant Marine each season, the Bears have never lost the Superintendent's Trophy.

Ryan Beck, Chris Pappe, Tim Ozimek, Lynn Schrayshuen, Cody Isaacson and Vince Falco all won singles matches.

Beck and Pappe (No. 1 doubles), Ozimek and Schrayshuen (No. 2 doubles) and Isaacson and Falco (No. 3 doubles) also teamed to win the three doubles matches for the Bears.


 
Men's Tennis - Bears Even Record with win over JWU
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/22/07)--Lynn Schrayshuen won both her singles and doubles match leading Coast Guard to a 5-4 win over Johnson and Wales.

Schrayshuen won at No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-1 and teamed with Tim Ozimek to win at No. 2 doubles 8-1.

Ryan Beck (No. 1), Chris Pappe (No. 2) and Vince Falco (No. 6) also won singles matches for the Bears, who are now 1-1 in the spring season.
 
Men's Tennis - Bears Blanked in Spring Opener
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/6/07)--Coast Guard dropped its spring season opener 7-0 to Division I Rhode Island.

Coast Guard's Ryan Beck and Chris Pappe did record a win over Henrik Almstrom and Kyle Duffy at No. 1 doubles with a 9-7 victory.
 
Men's Tennis - Bears Look to Rebuild in 2006-2007
The only downfall to having a great season with a senior laden team is trying to rebuild and that is exactly what the Bears face this season after going 10-7 and advancing to the semifinals New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament for the second straight season. Coast Guard and first year head coach Jim Hazlin will have to replace four talented seniors, who played every match a year ago.
