FLUSHING, N.Y.--(3/30/11)--Coast Guard fell to New York University 8-1 at the National Tennis Center.

En route to posting their 8-1 win, the Violets commanded an early lead with a 3-0 finish in doubles competition. Success for NYU continued in singles matches with the team taking five of six.

Blake Maurer recored a 2-6, 6-2, 10-2 win at #6 singles for the only Coast Guard point. The Bears drop to 7-4 on the season.

Greg Mitchell won both his singles and doubles match as the Bears secured the Superintendents' Trophy once again.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/27/11)--Coast Guard won all nine matches to beat rival Merchant Marine 9-0 and secure the Superintendents' Trophy given to the Academy which wins the most sporting events during the academic year.

Coast Guard, which has never lost the Superintendents' Trophy tied last season with Merchant Marine for the first time. The Bears clinched the win as they now lead 7-4 with just two events left this year.

The Bears not drop a set in disposing of the Mariners to improve to 7-3 on the season.

Men's Tennis - Bears Roll to 9-0 Win

Nick Martin lead the way as the Bears cruised to a 9-0 win.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(3/17/11)--Coast Guard did not drop a set in beating Johnson & Wales 9-0 to improve to 6-3 overall on the season.

Junior Nick Martin paced Coast Guard with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teamed with sophomore Blake Maurer or an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Maurer also had a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles for the Bears. The Bears won three singles matches without dropping a set. Fischer won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
