 Chanel Lee won the 100 meter hurdles and placed second in the 100 meters. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/28/09)--Chanel Lee won the 100 meter hurdles (16.60) and was second in the 100 meters (13.03) as the host Bears placed third in a tri-meet.
Springfield won the meet with 195, Westfield State finished with 128 points while the Bears had 68 points.
Emily Zalewski won the 400 meters (1:01.08), Anne Jefferson won the discus (118-03) and the 4x400 meter relay team of Zalewski, Margaret Kratz, Dana Tomc and KC Gaudette won with a time of 4:16.28. |

 Anne Jefferson won three events in the first outdoor meet of the season. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(3/21/09)--Junior Anne Jefferson won three events leading Coast Guard to a third placed finish at the season opening Conn. College Invitational.
Jefferson placed first in three events winning the shot put throwing 30’2”, the hammer throw with a mark of 101’0 and qualified for the Division III New England Championships in the discus throwing 110’10”.
Mary Morgan finished second in the javelin with a mark of 101’11” and Patty VanCleave cleared a height of 4’7” and placing 3rd. Emily Zalewski finished seocnd in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.11 and was a member of second place 4 x 400 relay team with KC Gaudette, Margaret Kratz, and Dana Tomc. |

 JoEllen Arons earned a pair of All-New England honors in her final N.E. Championship. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(5/3/08)--Junior Chanel Lee earned All-New England honors in both the 100 meters and the 100 meter hurdles as the Bears placed 13th of the 28 teams at the New England Division III Track and Field Championships hosted by the Coast Guard Academy.
Lee broke her own school record for the second time this year with a time of 15.47 to place fourth in the 100 meter hurdles while she also placed third in the 100 meters with a time of 12.75. |

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/29/08)--The Coast Guard Academy men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams both won the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Awards for the 2008 season.
Coast Guard placed second at the NEWMAC Championships in men’s track and fourth in women’s track.
The Coast Guard men win the award for the second straight season while the women’s program is given the honor for the first time.
The Bears will host the New England Division III Track and Field Championships beginning on Thursday. The event runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
