SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(5/16/09)--Junior Anne Jefferson threw a season best of 125 feet, 2 inches in the discus and placed seventh overall to earn All-ECAC honors at the ECAC Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Women's Outdoor Track - Jefferson Earns All-NE Honors

Anne Jefferson earned All-New England honors in the discus for the second straight season.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(5/2/09)--Junior Anne Jefferson earned All-New England honors with a fifth place finish in the discus at the Division III New England Championships at Springfield College.

Jefferson had a throw of 122 feet, two inches.

She earns All-New England honors for the second straight season, last season she placed fourth with a throw of 121-11.

Women's Outdoor Track - 4x400 is Top Bear Finisher

KC Gaudette was part of the 4x400 relay that placed fifth.

SOUTH HADLEY, MASS.--(4/25/09)--The 4x400 meter relay team of Margaret Kratz, Dana Tomc, KC Gaudette and Emily Zalewski were the top finisher for Coast Guard with a fifth place finish at the NEWMAC Championships.

The Bears placed eighth as a team with nine points.

Women's Outdoor Track -- Bears Place 5th at Silfen Invite

Emily Zalewski tied a school record in the 400 meters.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(4/18/09)--Sophomore Emily Zalewski tied the school record in the 400 meters, winning the event as the Bears placed fifth of 13 teams at the Silfen Invitational at Conn. College.

Zalewski also anchored the first place 4x400 relay team with a time of 4:15.37 also run by Margaret Kratz, Dana Tomc and Alaina Kiskaddon.

Kiskaddon also placed second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:10.20. Claire Delanoy was the top collegiate finisher in the women’s pole vault with a jump of eight feet.

Anne Jefferson took first in the discus with at throw of 117 feet, eight inches.
