 Senior All-American Hayley Feindel, the Division III all-time strikeouts leader, is back to lead the Bears once again. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/2/12)--Coast Guard is ranked 15th nationally in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III preseason poll.

The Bears were 38-4 overall and a 15-1 in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) last season. Coast Guard won the NEWMAC regular season title for the third straight season while winning its second straight NEWMAC tournament title. The Bears also made their third straight NCAA tournament appearance and finished the season ranked 17th in the final NFCA coaches’ poll.
Senior first team All-American Haley Feindel, the NCAA Division III all-time leader with 1,206 strikeouts is back to lead the Bears once again in 2012. Feindel was a dominant force in the circle last season as she led the nation and set school records for wins (37), strikeouts (457), shutouts (26) and earned-run average (0.56) en route to becoming the first Coast Guard softball player to win first-team All-America accolades by the NFCA. |

 Hayley Feindel, who led the nation in wins, strikeouts, shutouts and ERA, was named ECAC New England Division III Pitcher of the Year. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(8/11/11)--Coast Guard Academy continues to collect postseason softball honors as the ECAC announced its Division III New England All-Stars.
Head coach Donna Koczajowski was named the Coach of the Year while junior Hayley Feindel earned Pitcher of the Year honors.
Senior catcher Amanda Frederick and sophomore third baseman Holli Bastinck were both named to the second team.
Koczajowski led the Bears to a record of 38-4 overall and a 15-1 mark in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). Coast Guard won the NEWMAC regular season and tournament title for the second straight season. She earned NEWMAC Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season. |

 Hayley Feindel becomes the first Coast Guard softball player to earn first team All-America honors. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(5/20/11)--Coast Guard Academy junior pitcher Hayley Feindel has been named a first team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) which was announced at the national championship banquet in Salem, Virginia.
Feindel, who was named the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) Player of the Year earlier this week, becomes the first Coast Guard softball player to earn first team All-America honors and the first to be named a two-time All-American.
Feindel and Amanda Frederick were both third team All-Americans last season, the first two Coast Guard players to earn that honor. |

 Hayley Feindel was named the NEISCA Player of the Year for the second time in her career. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(5/16/11)--Junior All-America pitcher Hayley Feindel has been named the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) Player of the Year while senior All-America catcher Amanda Frederick and sophomore third baseman Holli Bastinck were also named to the NEISCA All-region team.
Feindel and Frederick were both also named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-region first team which means they are on the All-America ballot. Feindel earns NFCA All-region first team honors for the third straight season while Frederick earns NFCA All-region honors for the fourth straight season. Frederick was a second team selection in 2008 and 2009 and a first team selection in each of the last two seasons.
The Bears, who won the NEWMAC regular season and tournament championship for the second straight season made their third straight NCAA tournament appearance and third overall finishing with a record of 38-4 and ranked sixth nationally heading into the NCAA tournament, where the team went 2-2. |
