PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(2/18/11)--The Bears forfeited four weight classes in each match and lost to WNEC 45-10 and host Johnson & Wales 60-0 in the final dual meets of the season.

Freshman Luke Taylor registered a major decision with a 20-9 win at 165 pounds while sophomore heavyweight John Manganiello registered a pin in 5:17 in the loss to WNEC for the Bears only wins of the night.

The Bears finished the dual meet portion of the season with a record of 1-19.

Wrestling - Bears Drop Home Finale to WPI

Will Stark picked up a win in the final home meet of his career.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/14/11)--WPI won six of the seven matches that took place to beat Coast Guard 33-15 in the Bears final home meet of the season.

Coast Guard senior Will Stark won a 8-4 decision at 174 pounds in the final home match of his career in the opening bout of the night.

WPI would win the next seven matches, including pins at heavyweight and 141 and a forfeit at 125 to take a 33-3 lead.

Doug Ricketts picked up his first collegiate victory for the Bears.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(2/10/11)--Trinity won the final three matches to claim a come-from-behind 22-15 win over Coast Guard.

Freshman Doug Ricketts picked up his first collegiate win with a 7-6 decision at 133 pounds before Trinity won the next two matches for an 8-3 lead.

Senior Andy Snyder won his 30th match of the season by recording a 6-0 decision at 157 pounds and freshman Lucas Taylor won by injury default at 165 pounds to give the Bears a 12-8 lead.

Senior Will Stark registered a 6-2 decision at 174 pounds to pickup his 15th win of the season and extend Coast Guard’s lead to 15-8.

Andy Snyder picked up his team leading 29th win in the loss to RIC.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(2/8/11)--Sophomore 149 lbs. Remington Alves and freshman heavyweight Brandon Regnault each picked up pins as Rhode Island College defeated Coast Guard, 37-6, in a Pilgrim Wrestling match held at The Murray Center.

The Anchormen improve to 11-8 overall and 3-1 in the league, while Coast Guard suffers its seventh straight loss, falling to 1-15 overall and 0-4 in league action.

RIC quickly took a 10-0 lead as junior Kyle Bousquet won by forfeit and was followed by a major decision, 12-4, in favor of junior Brandon Gauthier who had bumped up a weight from his normal 125 lbs. position.
