MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(2/4/12)--Freshman Sara Cantrell won the one-meter (206.85), and the three-meter (216.45) diving events in a 202-93 loss to Wesleyan in the final dual meet of the season.

Freshman Caitlin Gever won the 50 freestyle in 25.51 for the Bears who finish the dual meet portion of the season with a record of 5-8.

The Bears will now prepare for the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships which take place Feb. 17-19th at MIT.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/28/12)--Head Coach John Westkott picked up his 150th career win as both the men’s and women’s team beat Clark to celebrate Senior Day.

The women’s team beat Clark 134-108 to improve to 5-7 on the season. Westkott has 102 wins with the men’s program and 48 as head coach of the women’s team.

Freshman Sara Cantrell broke the school-record on the three-meter board with a score of 247.5 breaking the record of 228 set by Melissa Smith in 2003.

Clark senior All-American Eileen Garcia broke the pool records on both the one-meter (288.65) and the three-meter boards (318.10) for the Cougars.

Heidi Gayman won a pair of individual events and was part of a winning relay.

KINGS POINT, N.Y.--(1/22/12)--Caitlyn Gever won a pair of individual events and was part of a pair of winning relay teams leading Coast Guard to a 157-131 win over host and rival Merchant Marine.

Gever won both the 50 freestyle (25.64) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.26), Heidi Gayman won the 200 freestyle (1:59.22) and the 500 freestyle (5:24.05), Chantel Ferguson won the 1,000 freestyle (11:16.15) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.84)and Sara Cantrell won the 1-meter board (178.85 points) and the 3-meter board (205.7 points).

Also for the Bears, Sarah Jane Otey won the 100 freestyle (56.37), and Darlene Sao won the 200 IM (2:17.69).
