NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/17/07)--Timmy Berry won the 200 meter individual medley (2:02.63) and the 100 meter backstroke (55.15) as the two-time defending New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champion Bears beat WPI 131-90.
Berry was also part of the 400 medley relay team that won with a time of 3:37.62. He teamed with Mike Carman, Doug Fallon and Bobby Brown for the win.
Other winners for the Bears were Alex Brown in the 1,000 freestyle (10:14.38), Taylor Volkman in the 50 freestyle (22.31) and Dan Cloonan in the one-meter diving (228.90).
Coast Guard improves to 3-1 season.

NEW YORK, N.Y.--(11/10/07)--Coast Guard split a pair of meets at NYU as the Bears blasted NEWMAC foe Wheaton 249-35, but fell to host New York University 168-130.
Tim Berry won the 100-meter backstroke (53.92) and the 200-meter backstroke (1:57.78) while Doug Fallon won the 200 breaststroke (2:14.59) for the Bears (2-1).

 Freshman Mike Carman won two events in the first dual meet of the season leading the Bears to victory.
Mike Carman won the 100 breaststroke (1:02.79) for Coast Guard and teamed with Timmy Berry, Nick Forni and Taylor Bolkman to win the 200 medley relay (1:40.88).
Also, Chris Woods, Bobby Brown and Volkman swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
