MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(2/6/10)--Timmy Berry won a pair of events as the Bears capped another outstanding dual meet season with a 169.5-122.5 win over Wesleyan.

Coast Guard finishes the dual meet portion of the season with a 10-1 record.

Berry won the 200 butterfly (1:58.98) and the 200 backstroke (2:13.09)

Alex Brown won the 1,000 freestyle (10:04.13), Bryan Andrews won the 100 backstroke (56.20), Matt Odom won the 100 breaststroke (59.42), Dan Beshoar won the 50 freestyle (22.42), Johnson Knox won the 100 freestyle (47.18), Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke (2:07.78), Kevin Smit won the 500 freestyle (4:51.73) while Dan Alley won the 100 butterfly (52.64).

Matt Odom won a pair of events to lead the Bears past Merchant Marine.

KINGS POINT, N.Y.--(1/23/10)--Sophomore Matt Odom won the 100 breaststroke (59.80) and the 200 IM (1:59.71) leading the Bears past rival Merchant Marine 175-125.

Freshman Nick Poehler won the 1,000 freestyle (9:57.52), sophomore Johnson Knox won the 50 freestyle (21.50), sophomore Brian McGuiness won the 100 freestyle (46.95), senior Timmy Berry won the 200 backstroke (1:56.23), junior Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke (2:08.38) and junior Dan Alley won the 100 butterfly (53.27) for Coast Guard.

The Bears 200 yard medley relay team of Berry, Odom, Alley and Knox won with a time of 1:36.66 while the 400 yard medley relay team of McGuiness, Knox, Alley and sophomore Dan Beshoar won in 3:10.29.

Coast Guard improves to 8-1 on the season.

Men's Swimming - Bears Split; Suffer First Loss of Season

Timmy Berry won an event and had a pair of second place finishes in the split.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(1/17/10)--Coast Guard beat host Springfield 209-91, but lost to MIT 174-126 in a tri-meet between the three New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) powerhouses.

The loss to MIT was the Bears first loss of the season, they are now 7-1 in dual meets on the year.

Timmy Berry won the 200 backstroke (1:55.65) and placed second in both the 100 backstroke (53:55) and the 200 IM (2:00.48).

Mike Carman won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:03.38 for Coast Guard.
