Women's Indoor Track - Flint Breaks Triple Jump Record

Elizabeth Flint set the school record in the triple jump at Boston University.
BOSTON, MASS.--(2/11/11)--Freshman Elizabeth Flint set a new school record in the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 9.5 inches at the Valentine Invitational held at Boston University.

The previous record was 35 feet, 3.25 inches set by Leah Harman in 1998.

Flint's jump qualified for the ECAC championships to be held at the New York Armory on March 3rd & 4th.

Women's Indoor Track - Kiskaddon Top CGA Finisher at Tufts

Alaina Kiskaddon was the top Coast Guard finisher.
MEDFORD, MASS.--(2/5/11)--Senior Alainna Kiskaddon was Coast Guard's top finisher placing 4th in the 400 meters running 1:02.32 at the Tufts Invitational.

Another top finisher for the Bears was freshman Megan Kalinowski in the 3000 meters finishing 5th running 10:57.79. Sophomore Sarah Blatt was 9th in the 800 meters crossing the finish in 2:27:74.

In the field events, freshman Liz Flint was Coast Guard's top finisher as she placed 5th in the triple jump with a best mark of 34 feet 6.75 inchs.

In the throwing events, freshman Emily Trudeau finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 4.5 inches.
 
Women's Indoor Track - Bishop Breaks School Record in Pentathlon

Abby Bishop broke the school record in the pentathlon.
MEDFORD, MASS.--(2/4/11)--Freshman Abby Bishop placed 6th place at the Tufts Pentathlon scoring 2516 points.

Bishop's total score broke the school record of 2347 points held by KC Gaudette (2008) and Heidi Heydorn (2002).

Bishop had the second fastest 800m time 2:36.68, third in the long jump (15' 3.75"), and third in the shot put with a best throw of 23' 10.75".
 
Women's Indoor Track - Bears Place Second at Home Invitational

Brandy Lowary won the high jump and was part of the winning 4x400 relay.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/29/11)--Coast Guard won seven events and placed second of four teams at its own Invitational.

Westfield State won the Invitational with 104 points, the Bears finished with 80 points, Trinity was third with 39 points while Eastern Connecticut rounded out the field with 18 points.

The Bears took the top two spots in a pair of events as freshman Meghan Kalinowski won the mile in 5:33.67 and sophomore Sarah Blatt was second with a time of 5:39.83 while senior Margaret Kratz won the 800 meters in 2:37.67 and freshman Jill Kelly was second with a time of 2:41.31.

Coast Guard won a pair of relay events as the 4x400 relay team of freshman Kristen Euchler, Kratz, freshman Abigail Bishop and freshman Brandy Lowary won in 4:28.87 and the 4x800 relay team of Kalinowski, senior Colin Fall, senior Alaina Kiskaddon and Blatt won with a time of 10:24.22.
