Women's Indoor Track - Bears 4x800 was top CGA Finisher at Wesleyan
MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(2/9/08)--Coast Guard's 4x800 relay team of Lauren Power, Tessa Knott, Alaina Kiskaddon and Dana Tomc placed second with a time of 10:10.53 to lead the way for the Bears at the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational, a meet which does not keep team scores.

Knott was also fourth in the 500 meters (1:25.51) and qualified for the Division III New England Championships while KC Gaudette placed fourth in the 800 meters (2:28.94) for the Bears.

Ruby Inge improved her 55 meter time with a career-best 7.76 seconds while Tomc had a season-best time of 1:03.53 in the 400 meters and both qualified for the Division III New England Championships.
 
Women's Indoor Track - Stevick, Stevens are Top CGA Finishers
MEDFORD, MASS.--(2/2/08)--The Bears placed 14th overall at the Tufts Indoor Invitational #2 with eight team points.

Senior Beth Stevik was sixth in the pole vault (7 feet, 6 inches), senior Victoria Stevens was sixth in the shot put (35-10.75) while sophomore Tessa Knott was seventh in the 800 meters (2;25.32).

Sophomore Tessa Knott won the mile and was part of the winning 4x800 relay team for the Bears.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/26/08)--Senior Victoria Stevens won both the shot put (10.73 meters) and the weight throw (12.17 meters) as Coast Guard placed second at the five team Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational.

Westfield State won the meet with 156 points, Coast Guard was second with 114 points while UMass Dartmouth was third with 100 points.

Sophomore Tessa Knott won the mile (5:36.49) and was part of the 4x800 relay team with senior Lauren Power, freshman Colin Fall and junior Charlotte Delorey, which posted a winning time of 10:45.03.

Women's Indoor Track - Bears Place 3rd in Season Opener
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/19/08)--Rhode Island College won the five-team Coast Guard Invitational in front of Conn College, 140; Coast Guard, 112; Eastern Connecticut, 101 and Merchant Marine 10.

Coast Guard's Lauren Power won the 800 and Tessa Knott was second in the 1,000, qualifying her for the Division III New England championship meet. The 4x800 relay of Power, Colin Fall, Charlotte Delorey and Knott finished first and Victoria Stevens won the shot put. Patty Van Cleave was second in the high jump.
