Women's Indoor Track - Stevens a Double Winner as Bears Place Second

Sophomore Tessa Knott won the mile and was part of the winning 4x800 relay team for the Bears.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/26/08)--Senior Victoria Stevens won both the shot put (10.73 meters) and the weight throw (12.17 meters) as Coast Guard placed second at the five team Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational.

Westfield State won the meet with 156 points, Coast Guard was second with 114 points while UMass Dartmouth was third with 100 points.

Sophomore Tessa Knott won the mile (5:36.49) and was part of the 4x800 relay team with senior Lauren Power, freshman Colin Fall and junior Charlotte Delorey, which posted a winning time of 10:45.03.

Women's Indoor Track - Bears Place 3rd in Season Opener
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/19/08)--Rhode Island College won the five-team Coast Guard Invitational in front of Conn College, 140; Coast Guard, 112; Eastern Connecticut, 101 and Merchant Marine 10.

Coast Guard's Lauren Power won the 800 and Tessa Knott was second in the 1,000, qualifying her for the Division III New England championship meet. The 4x800 relay of Power, Colin Fall, Charlotte Delorey and Knott finished first and Victoria Stevens won the shot put. Patty Van Cleave was second in the high jump.
 
Women's Track - Arons, Brown earn All-ECAC Honors

JoEllen Arons earned All-ECAC honors in the mile.
MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(3/2/07)--JoEllen Arons and Hillary Brown both finished eighth in their events to earn All-ECAC honors at the ECAC Division III Championships at Wesleyan University.

Arons placed eighth in the mile while Brown was eighth in the 20-pound weight throw.
 
Women's Track- Inge, Harms Qualify for NE Championships

Ruby Inge qualified for the Division III New England Championships in the 200 meters.
BOSTON, MASS.--(2/10/07)--Coast Guard had several highlights from the St. Valentine Invitational at Boston University which featured hundreds of athletes from Divisions I, II, and III attended.

In the 200 meters, Ruby Inge (27.48) qualified for the DIII New England Championships.

Abbie Harms (1:03.60) qualified for the DIII New England Championships in the 400 meters.

In the mile, JoEllen Arons (5:11.08) qualified for the DIII New England Championships and ECAC's while Tessa Knott 5:20.53 improved and Jayna McCarron 5:22.04 improved her qualifier for the DIII New England Championships.
