MEDFORD, MASS.--(1/31/09)--The Bears distance medley team of Tessa Knott, Charlotte Delorey, Beth Denicola and Rebecca Rebar were the top Coast Guard finisher as they placed fourth with a time of 14:19.89 and the Bears placed eighth at the ten team Tufts Invitational #2.

Coast Guard finished with 24 points while host Tufts won with 245 points.

Patty Van Cleave placed fifth in the high jump with a leap of four feet, nine inches while Claire Delanoy tied for fifth in the pole vault (7-9.25).

Also for the Bears, Anne Jefferson was sixth in the shot put (33-5.25) while Dana Tomc placed sixth (1:03.89) in the 400 meters.

Women's Indoor Track - Bears Place 5th at Springfield

Tessa Knott placed second in 800 meters and was the top Coast Guard finisher.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(1/24/09)--Tessa Knott was the top Coast Guard finisher wih a second place finish in the 800 meters (2:37.18) as the Bear placed fifth at the Springfield Invitational.

Springfield won the meet with 219 points while Coast Guard was 5th with 54 points.

Clare Delanoy led the Bears in the jumps with a 3rd place finish in the pole vault with a leap of eight feet.

In the sprints, Dana Tomc was the runner up in the women’s 400 meters with a time of 1:04.71. Margaret Kratz finished 3rd in the 600 meters with a time of 1:47.40. Jasmine Elliot, Margaret Kratz, KC Gaudette and Tomc placed second 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 4:30.24.

Women's Indoor Track - Tomc Leads Bears to 2nd Place Finish

Dana Tomc won the 400 meters and was part of a winning relay as the Bears placed second.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(1/17/09)--Dana Tomc won the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.37 and was part of the winning 4x400 meter relay team leading Coast Guard to a second place finish at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational.

Rhode Island College won the meet with 241 points, the Bears were second with 138 followed by Conn. College (122) and Merchant Marine (18).

Tomc teamed with Alaina Kiskaddon, Margaret Kratz and KC Gaudette to win the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:25.25.
