BOSTON, MASS.--(2/9/08)--Junior Mike Haas snd senior Chris Hunt both qualified provisionally for the NCAA championships at Boston University's Valentine Invitational.
Haas's time of 4:13.36 in the mile currently ranks him 5th in the country.
Hunt had a toss of 55-2.75 feet, in the 35 pound weight throw. He is currently ranked 10th in the country.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on March 14th and 15th at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
The men's 4x400 relay team improved its New England ranking to 6th with a season best time of 3:24.03 led by Matt Romano, Jason Erickson, Kyle Coleman, and Thomas Adams.
Adams also improved his New England Ranking to 6th in the 400m run with a time of 50.56. |

MIDDLETOWN, CONN.--(2/9/08)--Freshman David Boyle was the only event winner for Coast Guard, as he won the 500 meters with a New England qualifying time of 1:08.44 at the Wesleyan Cardinal Invitational, a meet which does not keep team scores.
Boyle also teamed with Joe Chevalier, Andres Luai and Dan Miller to place second in the 4x400 with a time of 3:36.33
Freshman Nate Crum took second in the mile (4:40.53), Jesse Cremeans placed third in the 1000 meters (2:42.93) and fourth in the 55 hurdles (8.95) while sophomore Carl Stokes was third in the shot put (43-1.75 feet). |

 Senior Nate Rhodes won the pole vault with mark of 14 feet, 8.75 inches. MEDFORD, MASS.--(2/2/08)--The Bears dominated the pole vault event taking four of the top five spots as Coast Guard easily won the Tufts Indoor Invitational #2, its third straight win to open the season.
Coast Guard finished with 143 points while Trinity was distant second with 88 points.
Senior Nate Rhodes won the pole vault with a mark of 14 feet, 8.75 inches. Freshman Jordan Kellham (13-9) and junior Michael Comerford (12-9) finished second and third respectively while sophomore James Provost (11-9.25) placed fifth.

NEW LONDON,  Junior Thomas Adams won the 400 meters and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team. CONN.--(1/26/08)--Freshman Carl Luxhoj won both the long jump (6.72 meters) and triple jump (13.31 meters) while junior Thomas Adams won the 400 meters (51.83) and was part of the winning 4x400 relay team as Coast Guard placed first at the six team Coast Guard Academy Winter Invitational.
The Bears won the meet with 213 points while Springfield was a distant second with 152 points.
Adams teamed with senior Jason Erickson, sophomore Mike Laurence and freshman Kyle Coleman to win the 4x400 relay (3:33.50). The Bears also won the 4x200 relay (1:38.99) with the team of senior Paul Sprenger, sophomore Dan Lagdon, freshman Steve Hager and sophomore Mark Amendolara and the 4x800 relay (8:18.47) with the team of junior Mike Haas, junior Mike Persun, junior Pat Fernandez and senior Matt Romano. |
