 Tieran Bonner broke a 16-year old school record in the 55 meters. LEWISTON, MAINE--(2/20/10)--Freshman Tieran Bonner broke the 16-year old school record and placed third in the 55 meters with a time of 6.52 to earn All-New England honors as the Bears placed 13th of 21 teams at the Division III New England Championships.
The old record in the 55 meters was set by Ahmad Jahaya with a time of 6.61 in 1994.
Also earning All-New England honors for the Bears were Junior Josh Wofford,who placed seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 51.29 and Junior John Jaskot,who took fifth in the high jump (6 feet, 2 inches).
The Bears 4x400 meter relay team of juniors Kyle Coleman, Jesse Cremeans, Dan Miller and Wofford placed seventh with a time of 3:29.60 to earn All-New England honors with a top eight finish.

 Jesse Cremeans earned All-New England honors in the pentathlon. LEWISTON, MAINE--(2/19/10)--Junior Jesse Cremeans and Kyle Coleman each earned All-New England Honors in the pentathlon at the Division III New England Championships in the first day of competition hosted by Bates. The top eight in each event earn All-New England honors.
Cremeans, who won the Division III New England pentathlon championship last season, earns All-New England honors in the event for the third straight season. He placed fourth with a score of 3,309 points. Cremeans had a time of 8.42 in the 55-high hurdles, he had a long jump of 19 feet, 11.5 inches, a shot put of 28 feet, 11.75 inches, a jump of 6 feet, 0.5 inches in the high jump and a time of 2:37.79 in the 1,000 meters. |

 Tieran Bonner post a career-best time of 22.73 in the 200 meters. BOSTON, MASS.--(2/13/10)--Freshman sprinter Tieran Bonner posted his all-time fastest performance of 22.73 in the 200 meters, fast enough to qualify for both the ECAC and the All Division New England Championship at the BU Valentine Invitational which consisted of athletes from Division I, II and III.
Bonner also ran a 6.68 in the 55 meter dash finishing 28th in a field of 112 competitors.
Juniors Josh Wofford and Kyle Coleman also ran their fastest 400 meter times of the season running 50.44 and 50.56. Wofford’s 400 meter mark qualified him for the All Division New England Championships and Coleman’s was fast enough for the ECAC Championships. |

 John Jaskot placed second in the high jump. CAMBRIDGE, MASS.--(2/6/10)--John Jaskot placed second in the high jump while the 4x400 meter relay team of Kyle Coleman, Dan Miller, Jesse Cremeans and Josh Wofford also took second as the Bears battled New England powers MIT and Williams.
Jaskot had a leap of 6 feet, 3.25 inches while the 4x400 relay team finished with a time of 3:35.02
Tieran Bonner took third in both the 55 meters (6.67) and the 200 meters (23:37) while Wofford placed third in the 400 meters (51.16) and Carl Stokes took third in the shot put (47 feet, 0.75 inches).
Host MIT won with 192.5 points, Williams was second with 132 points while the Bears finished with 47 points. |
