Men's Indoor Track - Three Earn All-ECAC Honor
MEDFORD, MASS.--(3/8/09)--Carl Luhoj was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed third in the triple jump (46-5) as three Bears earned All-ECAC honors at the ECAC Division III Championships at Tufts University.

Also for the Bears, Pat Fernandez finished fourth in the 1,000 meters(2:31.63) and David Boyle finished seventh in the 500 meters(1:07.80).

Carl Luxhoj accounted for seven of the Bears eight points at the All-New England Championships.
BOSTON, MASS.--(2/28/09)--Sophomore Carl Luxhoj took fifth place in the triple jump (45-4.25) and sixth place in the long jump (21-9.5) at the All-New England Championship consisting of athletes from Divisions I, II and III host by Boston University.

Coast Guard placed 22nd of the 31 teams and seventh of the Division III teams with eight points.

Luxhoj, who was the top Division III performer in both events, accounted for seven of the Bears eight points while the 4x400 meter relay team of Kyle Coleman, David Boyle, Jesse Cremeans and Thomas Adams which placed eighth with a time of 3:20.30 for the other point.
 
Men's Indoor Track - Cremeans Wins Pentathlon; Bears Place 5th

Jesse Cremeans won the Pentathlon at the Division III New England Championship.
CAMBRIDGE, MASS.--(2/21/09)--Jesse Cremeans captured the men's pentathlon at the New England Division III indoor track and field championships at MIT and the Bears placed 5th of 24 teams.

Coast Guard finished with 51 points, three behind fourth place Bowdoin. Williams won with 145 points.

In the first day of action, Cremeans, who finished the five-event competition with 3,429 points, won the 1,000-meter race (2:36.90) and wound up second in the high jump (2.75 meters).

Teammate Kyle Coleman finished seventh in the pentathalon with 3,295 points, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 55 hurdles (8.30).

Men's Indoor Track - Luxhoj Takes 6th Twice at BU

Carl Luxhoj took sixth in both the long jump and triple jump.
BOSTON, MASS.--(2/14/09)--Carl Luxhoj finished 6th in the long jump (22-5)and triple jump (46-1.5) and his triple jump mark was a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships at Boston University's Valentine's Classic.

David Boyle broke the school record in the 500 meters (1:05.20) previously held by Carl Messale (1:05.40) in 1994.

Also in the sprints, Tom Adams ran a season best 49.81 in the 400 meters. Boyle and Adams ran on the 4x400 meter relay with Jesse Cremeans and Kyle Coleman, running a season best time of 3:21.30.

Pat Fernandez ran a personal record in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:32.22 and Chris Marquis ran 1:59 in the 800 meteres.
