Women's Basketball - 2010-11 Season Preview
Image
Allison Majcher is the captain of a very inexperienced Coast Guard team.
Coast Guard was 7-18 overall and 4-14 in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) a year ago and as the team prepares for the upcoming season, the Bears return just one starter and have only two players that saw any significant game minutes last season.

Oh by the way, the Bears also have to fill the void left by Melissa Martinelli, the Academy’s all-time leading scorer (1,853) and rebounder (906), and perennial all-star.

Despite the lack of experience, head coach Rick Gaines, in his second season, and his coaching staff, are very excited by the addition of a very talented freshmen class, the team’s basketball intelligence, and by their collective commitment to the success of the program.
