Freshman Melissa Martinelli had career high's with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/30/06)--Freshman Melissa Martinelli had career and game high’s with 22 points and 12 rebounds and Coast Guard used a 12-0 run in the end the first half and a 14-1 run in the second half enroute to a 60-36 win over Albertus Magnus in a non-conference game.

Albertus Magnus got off to a quick start taking a 9-2 lead in the first four minutes of the game. The Falcons (0-3) led 19-16 with 6:55 left in the first half before the Bears ran off the final 12 points of the half for a 28-19 lead at the break and never looked back.

Women's Basketball - Moyer ties record with 9 3's and scores 40 in Bears win
WORCESTER, MASS.--(11/28/06)--Junior Natalie Moyer tied a school-record with nine three-pointers as she finished with 40 points, 24 in just over 12 minutes in the second half, leading Coast Guard to its first win of the season an 85-70 win over Anna Maria in a non-conference game.

Moyer had 16 points including four treys in the first half as Coast Guard battled back from an early 7-0 deficit using a 14-4 run to take a 14-11 lead with 13:50 left in the first half. The Bears outscored the Amcats 27-11 over the final 12 minutes of the first half for a 43-26 lead at halftime.

Women's Basketball - Bears Fall to Springfield
SALEM, MASS.--(11/18/06)--Junior guard Christine Cotter (scored 15 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to go along with five rebounds and two steals as the Springfield beat Coast Guard 79-53 in the third place game of the Salem State College Tip-Off Tournament.

Women's Basketball - #17 Williams uses late run to beat Bears
SALEM, MASS.--(11/17/06)—Coast Guard played even with Williams, ranked 17th in the nation, as the teams were tied 39-39 with eight minutes left, but the Ephs scored 19 straight points outscoring the Bears 19-1 the rest of the way to advance to the championship game of the Salem State College Tip-Off Tournament with a 58-40 win.

Coast Guard had tied the game at 39-39 on a basket by freshman Melissa Martinelli with eight minutes left in the game.
