NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/13/07)--Junior Jackie Peterson scored her team leading seventh goal of the season just 4:15 into the match as Carthage (Wis.) remained unbeaten with a 3-0 win over Coast Guard. Sophomore Ashleigh Johnson scored an unassisted goal in the 39th minute as the Lady Reds (5-0) led 2-0 at halftime.

Women's Soccer - Bears Fall to Southern Maine

Junior Jen Ferreira scored her first career goal in the loss.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/8/07)--Senior co-captain Natasha Levandowski scored a pair of goals leading Southern Maine to its first win of the season, a 4-2 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference game.

Levandowski scored just 6:40 into the match before seniors Samantha Rennie and Lindsay Herzog scored just 1:26 apart scoring goals at 13:23 and 14:49 as the Huskies took a 3-0 lead.

Junior KC Gaudette scored Coast Guard’s first goal of the season with 11 minutes left in the first half. Sophomore Emma Marr assisted on the goal. Southern Maine led 3-1 at the half.

Women's Soccer - ECSU Blanks Bears 2-0

Junior goalkeeper Trish Ohle had 17 saves, but the Bears lost to Eastern Conn. 2-0.

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/5/07)--Sophomore Taylor MacDonald scored both goals while junior Nicole Gaudette assisted on both scores as Eastern Connecticut won its season opener beating host Coast Guard 2-0 in a non-conference game.

MacDonald broke the scoreless tie just 2:13 into the second half and added an insurance goal in the 75th minute for the Warriors.

Eastern Connecticut (1-0) outshot Coast Guard 24-5. Trish Ohle had 17 saves for the Bears.
