Jen Ferriera scored the Bears' first ever goal against Wheaton on a penalty kick in first half.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/4/08)--Coast Guard did something it had not done in the previous ten meetings with Wheaton, score, but it wasn't enough as the Lyons, ranked 16th nationally, ran its conference unbeaten streak to 90 games with an 8-2 win over the Bears in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

Women's Soccer - Kurek Scores Twice to Lead Bears to Victory

Katie Kurek scored twice leading the Bears to a 3-1 road victory.
NEW HAVEN, CONN.--(9/30/08)--Junior Katie Kurek scored a pair of goals leading Coast Guard to a 3-1 win over Albertus Magnus in the first ever meeting between the two Connecticut schools, a non-conference game.

Kurek gave the Bears a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute with senior Jen Ferreira assisting.

The Falcons tied the game in the 40th minute and the game was tied 1-1 at halftime.

Women's Soccer - Bears Lose NEWMAC Opener on Late Goal
WORCESTER MASS.--(9/27/08)--Junior Lauren King's first goal of the year came with just 2:38 left in the regulation to lift Clark University to a 1-0 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) victory over Coast Guard Academy in the conference opener for both teams.

Clark upped its record to 4-3 and 1-0 in the NEWMAC, while Coast Guard fell to 3-4 and 0-1 in league play.

Women's Soccer - Camels Beat Bears 2-0
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/24/08)--Sophomore Candice Clark scored the only goal the Camels would need and assisted on the other score leading Connecticut College to a 2-0 win over host Coast Guard in the Annual Battle between the two New London schools. Conn. College has now beaten Coast Guard in all nine meetings between the two teams.

Clark scored an unassisted goal 13:08 into the match and just over two minutes later senior Sophia Brand scored giving the Camels a 2-0 lead with Clark adding the assist.

Conn. College (3-1) outshot Coast Guard 12-6.

Juniors Bailey Andrews and Jenna Ross each played a half recording the shutout. Andrews made four saves while Ross registered a pair of saves.

Freshman Mary Mills had eight saves in goal for Coast Guard.
