NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/10/09)--Erin Davey scored two goals in a span of 1:39 of the first half to lead the Connecticut College Camels (1-0) to a 4-0 first half lead in a 6-1 season opening victory against Coast Guard (0-4) on Tempel Green Thursday. Senior Sharon Katz added a goal and three assists for the Camels, who piled up 48 shots in their 2009 debut.
Sophomore Brigi Palatino chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Camels, who won their 10th consecutive decision against their Whaling City rivals.
Coast Guard sophomore Mary Mills kept the score down with a heroic 26 save effort in goal. Mills had 17 saves in the second stanza alone, with several stops coming from point-blank range. |

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/7/09)--Junior Angela Cazzato and sophomore Amanda Aguiar each scored leading Johnson & Wales to a 2-0 win over Coast Guard in a non-conference game.
Johnson & Wales improves to 2-0 on the young season while the Bears drop to 0-3.
Cazzato took a pass from sophomore Samantha Reynolds and scored in the 11th minute giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. |

 Mary Mills kept the Bears in the game with 22 saves. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/5/09)--Freshman Reegan Brackett scored a goal in her collegiate debut and Lasell also used an own goal to beat Coast Guard 2-1 in a non-conference game, the season opener for the Lasers.
Brackett scored the only goal of the first half in the 8th minute with junior Allyson Bushy adding the assist.
Lasell used an own goal to take a 2-0 lead in the 50th minute. |

 Katie Kurek scored and the Bears had an own goal in the season opening loss. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/3/09)--Junior Sam Gigliotti scored the first two goals of the game and assisted on another leading Albertus Magnus to a 4-2 win over Coast Guard in the season opener for both teams.
Gigliotti scored in the 10th minute with classmate Jenna Riccio assisting. She gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead in the 21st minute with an unassisted goal.
Coast Guard cut the deficit in half on a goal by senior Katie Kurek in the 32nd minute with freshman Katie Romas assisting.
Sophomore Krystal Quinones scored just 48 seconds into the second half with freshman Danielle Figueroa assisting as the Falcons took a 3-1 lead. |
