 Junior Thomas Cameron had a goal and two assists in the 3-1 win over WPI. WORCESTER, MASS.--(10/19/07)--Junior Thomas Cameron played a part in all three of Coast Guard’s goals to help propel the Bears to a 3-1 victory over host WPI at a rain-soaked Alumni Field. With the win, Coast Guard improves its record to 8-4-1 on the season and 2-2-1 in NEWMAC play while WPI falls to 3-10 overall and 0-5 in conference action.
After a scoreless first half, the Bears scored a pair of goals in a 2:26 span early in the second half. Cameron got Coast Guard on the board in the 54th minute after a long pass from senior Martin Villa. The Bears kept the pressure on when Cameron’s fed found junior David O’Brien, who buried it in the back of the net for his fourth tally of the year. |

 Senior Martin Villa converted a penalty kick, his first goal of the season, as the Bears beat Eastern Conn. 1-0. WILLIMANTIC, CONN.--(10/16/07)--Senior Martin Villa's penalty kick in the 38th minute, his first goal of the season, was the only goal of the game as Coast Guard beat Eastern Connecticut 1-0 in a non-conference game. It is the fourth straight year that Coast Guard has shutout Eastern Connecticut.
Junior Nate Wojcik was taken down from behind by two Eastern Connecticut players with 7:10 left in the first half giving the Bears the penalty kick opportunity. |

NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/12/07)--Senior Marc Labbe scored the only goal of the game with 21:30 left leading Clark to a 1-0 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.
Coast Guard (6-4-1, 1-2-1), which outshot Clark 25-9, had several chances in the final 15 minutes, but junior goal keeper Peter Wise made a few key saves and finished with seven saves to record his fourth shutout of the season.
Sophomore goal keeper Tim Olah, who missed the last seven games with an illness, returned to the lineup tonight for the Bears and made one save in the loss.

 Junior Peter Deneen had the Bears goal in a 1-1 tie with # 25 Wheaton. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/6/07)--Junior Peter Deneen gave Coast Guard, ranked 10th in New England, an early lead, but # 25 Wheaton tied the game in the second half and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match ended in a 1-1 double overtime tie.
Coast Guard is now 6-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the NEWMAC while Wheaton is 8-3-3 and 3-0-1 in conference play.
Peter Deneen scored at 12:15 following a Wheaton turnover in its own half of the field. Senior Ben Weber assisted, as Deneen scored his fifth goal of the season after firing a shot from 20 yards out into the lower portion of the net. |
