Men's Soccer - Bears Lose in Double Overtime
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/26/09)--Freshman Eric Anderson scored with 6:51 left in double overtime as Babson posted a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game.

Ayo Iwuagwu scored the only goal of the first half in the 40th minute with Garrett Guiles and Salomon Guindi assisting.

Men's Soccer - Conn. Goal in Final Minutes Beats Bears

Peter Kelly's goal tied the game 2-2 with 33:45 left in regulation.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/23/09)--Isaac Hancock deposited a header on a cross from Mike Crosby in the 89th minute that lifted Connecticut College (2-1) to 3-2 nail-biting victory at Coast Guard (3-4) in the annual battle for the Whale Cup.

Junior Trevor Prophet tallied two first half scores for the Camels, who improved their mark to 21-9-2 in the longstanding rivalry of neighboring institutions.

Men's Soccer - Bears Drop NEWMAC Opener

Nick Devine scored the only goal for the Bears.
WORCESTER, MASS.--(9/19/09)--Jason Hopkins notched a pair of goals off long throw-ins from Kevin Ducharme, the last of which coming with just 3:08 remaining in the contest, to help WPI to a thrilling 2-1 win over visiting Coast Guard in the NEWMAC men’s soccer conference opener for both teams. The Engineers are now 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference action while the Bears even their mark at 3-3 overall and 0-1 in NEWMAC play.

Hopkins opened the scoring in the 12th minute when he headed a perfectly executed throw-in from Ducharme into the upper right corner for his team-leading seventh goal of the season. Coast Guard got the equalizer exactly 10 minutes into the second half when Nick Devine knocked home a nifty left to right cross by Anthony Walker.

Men's Soccer - Bears Blank Mitchell 5-0

Spencer Ross scored a goal and added an assist in the win.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(9/16/09)--Senior Spencer Ross scored a goal and assisted on another leading host Coast Guard to a 5-0 win over Mitchell in a non-conference game between the two New London schools.

Senior Jacob Larsen registered his first goal of the season on blast from 30 yards out in the 31st minute to break the scoreless tie. Ross tallied his first goal of the season in the 40th minute on a header off a rebound as the Bears led 2-0 at halftime.

Sophomore Anthony Walker took a pass from Nick Devine and buried it in the net in the 57th minute to increase the Coast Guard lead to 3-0.
