 Sarah Blatt was 15th overall and the second Coast Guard finisher. NORTH DARTMOUTH, MASS.--(9/17/11)--Coast Guard posted a second place finish at the 39th Annual UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational, which ties the teams best finish at this meet in school history.
MIT won the meet with 25 points. The Bears secured the 2nd place finish with 109 points edging out two top 10 ranked schools in the New England Region - #7 Wellesley College (3rd with 114 points) and #10 Brandeis University (4th with 148 points). |

 Beth Gollin won the race in her collegiate debut. NORTHAMPTON, MASS.--(9/10/11)--In her collegiate debut, freshman Bethany Gollin was the overall winner leading Coast Guard to a second place finish among 16 teams at the season opening Smith College Invitational.
Coast Guard finished with 34 points, Wellesley College took first with 29.
Gollin took an early lead and held it as she traversed the Smith 5K course in 19:43. Coast Guard second finisher was sophomore Meghan Kalinowski placing 6th overall running 20:29. |

 Meghan Kalinowski was the top Coast Guard finisher at the Division III New England Championships. WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS--(11/13/10)--Led by freshman Meghan Kalinowski and junior Katie Schumacher, Coast Guard finished 17th in a field of 53 competing teams at the Division III New England Regional Championships. The meet was hosted by Williams College at Mt. Greylock High School.
Despite unseasonably warm weather, Kalinowski (24:23) and Schumacher (24:55) held a steady pace through the 6000-meter course of fields, challenging hills, dirt trails through the woods, and crossing the finish in 70th and 93rd place respectively.
Senior Colin Fall was close behind covering the course in 25:17 finishing 108th overall.
Rounding out the Coast Guard scoring for the day was sophomore Sarah Blatt, who finished 141th with a time of 25:47 and freshman Rebecca Fox who was 164th with a 26:06 finish.
Middlebury won the championship followed by Williams, Amherst, MIT, and Colby.

 Sarah Blatt was the top Coast Guard finisher at the ECAC Championship. BRISTOL, RI.--(11/6/10)--Coast Guard placed 11th overall in a field of 39 scoring teams at the ECAC Championship hosted at Colt State Park.
Sophomore Sarah Blatt was Coast Guard’s top finisher covering the 6K course in 23:51 and placing 25th overall in a field of 275 competitors.
Freshman Meghan Kalinowski was the Coast Guard’s number two runner finishing 33rd overall and running a time of 24:14.
Next for Coast Guard in the #3 and #4 spot were two freshman, Jennifer Patron and Kristen Schultz, both posting a personal records on a 6K course of 25:52 and 26:25 respectively. |
