Women's Cross Country - Bears Place 21st at NE Championships

Alaina Kisaddon was the third Coast Guard finisher at the New England Championships.
WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--Senior Gwen English was the top Coast Guard finisher as she placed 89st overall with a time of 25:16.1 as the Bears placed 21st of the 49 teams at the Division III New England Championships.

Junior Tessa Knott was 102nd (25:29.6), sophomore Alaina Kiskaddon was 143rd (26:25.6) while freshman Katie Schumacher was 147th (26:72.5).
 
Women's Cross Country - Bears Place 11th at ECAC's
BRISTOL, R.I.--(11/8/08)--Coast Guard placed 11th of the 42 teams the ECAC Division III New England Championship at Colt State Park.

Junior Tessa Knott was the top Bears finisher with a 31st place finish in a time of 6:42 over the 6K course, while senior Gwen English was just one second behind Knott at 6:43 to place 33rd.

Sophomore Colin Fall (6:53) was 58th for the Bears.

Tessa Knott was one of of two runners on the women's team named to the NEWMAC All-Academic team.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/7/08)--Coast Guard placed eight student-athletes on the 2008 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Academic cross country teams.

The Bears placed six men on the team and two women.

Senior Gwen English (Operations Research/Computer Analysis) and junior Tessa Knott (Mechanical Engineering) were honored from the women’s team.

Tessa Knott was the top Coast Guard finisher as she placed 28th overall.
BOSTON, MASS.--(11/1/08)--Coast Guard placed seventh for the second straight season at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships held at Franklin Park.

Junior Tessa Knott was the top Coast Guard finisher as she placed 28th with a time of 20:13.30.

Senior Gwen English was 36th (20:30.43) while sophomore Alaina Kiskaddon was 51st (21:08.99) for the Bears, who finished with 180 points, five behind sixth place WPI.

MIT won the championship with 27 points.
