 Beth Gollin was the top Coast Guard finisher. BRUNSWICK, MAINE--(11/12/11)--Freshman Beth Gollin was the top Bear finisher as she placed 55th overall and Coast Guard was 13th of 51 teams at the New England Division III Championship.
Gollin finished the 6K course in 22:58.79 while sophomore Meghan Kalinowski was the second Coast Guard runner to cross the finish line placing 82nd overall with a time of 23:28.97.
Freshman Ellie Wu was 88th (23:34.44), junior Sarah Blatt finished 101st (23:55.82), freshman Kendall Auth was 123rd (24:10.84) while senior Katie Schumacher placed 134th with a time of 24:19.95.
The 13th place finish by Coast Guard as its best since 2006 when the Bears placed tenth overall.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--(11/5/11)--Freshman Kendall Auth was the top Coast Guard finisher as she placed 43rd overall as Coast Guard placed 14th of the 40 teams at the ECAC Division III Championship at Williams College.
Auth finished in 24:50. Sophomore Moira McNeil and senior Tess Swiecanski were 88th and 89th with a time of 25.59.
Also for the Bears, senior Kathryn Peek placed 101st in 26:14 while sophomore Kristen Schultz was 172nd with a time of 28:07. |

 Katie Schumacher was named to the NEWMAC All-Academic team for the second straight season. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/4/11)--The United States Coast Guard Academy placed a trio of cadet-athletes on the 2011 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women’s Cross Country All-Academic team.
Senior captain Katie Schumacher, a Civil Engineering major, and juniors Julia Kane (Electrical Engineering) and Caroline Truesdell (Mechanical Engineering) were all named to the team from Coast Guard.
Schumacher earns Academic All-conference honors in cross country for the second straight season while Kane and Truesdell earned the honor for the first time. |

 Beth Gollin placed eighth overall to earn All-conference honors for the Bears. BOSTON, MASS.--(10/31/11)--Freshman Beth Gollin placed eighth overall and Coast Guard placed five runners in top 40 to finish third at the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Franklin Park.
Gollin, who has been the top Coast Guard finisher in every race this season, finished the 5K course in 19:15 to earn All-conference honors which go to the top 14 finishers.
Junior Sarah Blatt was 19th overall in 19:54, sophomore Meghan Kalinowski was 29th with a time of 20.27. |
