 Ethan Brown takes over the women's cross country team from Leroy Falconi, who served as head coach for the past 26 years. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(6/11/09)--Ethan Brown has been named the head coach of Coast Guard Academy women’s cross country team. He takes over for Leroy Falconi, who was the head coach for the past 26 seasons.
Brown also serves as the top assistant for Coast Guard Academy’s track and field program. He also had brief cross country and track coaching stints at Babson College (2006-2008) and Springfield College (2003-2005) where he coached several athletes to All-American and All-New England accolades.
He holds a Master’s of Education in Sports Management from Springfield College and professional certifications including; Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA and USA Track & Field (USATF) Level I certified coach. |

 Alaina Kisaddon was the third Coast Guard finisher at the New England Championships. WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--Senior Gwen English was the top Coast Guard finisher as she placed 89st overall with a time of 25:16.1 as the Bears placed 21st of the 49 teams at the Division III New England Championships.
Junior Tessa Knott was 102nd (25:29.6), sophomore Alaina Kiskaddon was 143rd (26:25.6) while freshman Katie Schumacher was 147th (26:72.5).

BRISTOL, R.I.--(11/8/08)--Coast Guard placed 11th of the 42 teams the ECAC Division III New England Championship at Colt State Park.
Junior Tessa Knott was the top Bears finisher with a 31st place finish in a time of 6:42 over the 6K course, while senior Gwen English was just one second behind Knott at 6:43 to place 33rd.

 Tessa Knott was one of of two runners on the women's team named to the NEWMAC All-Academic team. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/7/08)--Coast Guard placed eight student-athletes on the 2008 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Academic cross country teams.
The Bears placed six men on the team and two women.
Senior Gwen English (Operations Research/Computer Analysis) and junior Tessa Knott (Mechanical Engineering) were honored from the women’s team. |
