NORTH DARTMOUTH, MASS.--(9/15/07)--Junior Zach Hennighausen was the top Coast Guard finisher, placing 18th (25:47) as the Bears placed 8th of 31 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

Senior Eric Laurel was 27th (25:57), junior Pat Fernandez was 37th (26:15) while freshman Andrew Price was 48th overall (26:35) for the Bears.

Men's Cross Country - Bears Place 2nd at Smith Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, MASS.--(9/8/07)--Zach Hennighausen was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed second (27:17) at the season opening Smith Invitational.

MIT was first (24), followed by the Bears (39).

Also for Coast Guard, Mike Persun was fourth (27:57), Pat Fernandez took 10th (28:46), Andrew Price placed 11th (28:49), Kevin Sorrell finished 16th (29:06) and Nate Crum was 26th (29:21).

Men's Cross Country - Mike Flint Led Bears in a solid 2006 Season

Senior Mike Flint earned All-New England honors for the third straight season.

Senior Mike Flint made this third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Championships, but a muddy sloppy course in West Chester, Ohio would not favor Flint as he placed 52nd of the 279 runners in his final chance to earn All-America status.

At the 2005 NCAA Championships, Flint could not overcome a fall and placed 64th of 201 runners.

Flint earned All-New England honors for the third straight season by placing a personal best sixth overall at the Division III New England Championship. He finished with a time of 25:53.7. Flint was 14th at the New England Championships as a sophomore and 10th as a junior.
