United States Coast Guard Academy - Department of Athletics

GETTYSBURG, PA.--(10/17/09)--Andrew Price was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 25th overall leading the Bears to a sixth place finish at the 25-team Gettysburg Invitational.

Price finishes the 8K course with a time of 27:25.25.

Kevin O'Brien (27:46.50) and Mike Mrkvicka (27:46.72) were 34th and 35th overall while Trevor Siperek (27:52.54) placed 39th and Chris Marquis (28:12.04) was 54th to round out the Bears top five.

Men's Cross Country - Bears Place 13th at Westfield State

WESTFIELD, MASS.--(10/10/09)--Coast Guard placed 13th of 23 teams at the James Early Invitational at Westfield State College.

Sophomore Trevor Auth was the top Bear finisher as he placed 61st overall (29:01.31) over the 8K course.

Junior Joe Hill placed 66th (29:14.58), sophomore Alexander Cropley was 74th (29:23.24) while sophomore Myles McCarthy placed 81st (29:39.17) and junior Matt Brew rounded out the Bears top five by placing 97th (30:31.0).

Men's Cross Country - Bears Place 9th at Conn. Invite

Trevor Siperek had the third best time for the Bears as they placed 9th at the Conn. Invite.

WATERFORD, CONN.--(9/26/09)--Freshman Kevin O'Brien was the top Coast Guard finisher, as he placed 23rd overall in the 8k with a time of 26:17 as the Bears placed ninth of the 16 teams at the Connecticut College Invitational.

Junior Andrew Price was 31st (26:24), sophomore Trevor Siperek was 40th (26:38) while senior Mike Mrkvicka placed 41st (26:39) for the Bears.

Men's Cross Country - Bears Place 13th at UMass Dartmouth

Andrew Price was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 54th overall.

DARTMOUTH, MASS.--(9/19/09)--Coast Guard had a solid 13th place showing of 37 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

Andrew Price was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 54th with a time of 26:12.

Also for the Bears, Kevin O'Brien (26:24) was 65th, Trevor Siperek(26:44) was 77th and Mike Mrkvicka (26:51) was 83rd.
