WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--(11/3/07)--Junior Matt Eyler was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 38th overall leading the Bears to an 11th place finish of the 37 teams at the ECAC Division III Championships at Williams College.
Eyler had a time of 27:40 over 8,000 meter course.
NEW LONDON, CONN.--(10/31/07)--The Coast Guard Academy placed five student athletes on the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Academic All-conference team.
Seniors Matt Eyler (Electrical Engineering), Josh Gaidos (Electrical Engineering) and Matt Romano (Civil Engineering) joined sophomores Noah Hudson (Government) and Adam Stanek (Management) on the Academic All-conference team.
NORTHAMPTON, MASS.--(10/27/07)--Junior Mike Persun (26:22.90) was one of three Coast Guard runners to earn All-conference honors as the Bears placed second for the tenth straight season to 10-time defending champion MIT at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship hosted by Smith College.
