 Trevor Siperek was the top Coast Guard finisher. BRUNSWICK, MAINE--(11/12/11)--Senior Trevor Siperek was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 57th overall and the Bears were 15th of 48 teams at the New England Division III Championship.
Siperek finished the 8K course in 25:56.18 while sophomore Gary Ezzo was the second Coast Guard finisher, placing 75th with a time of 26:21.07.
The next four Coast Guard finishers were all seniors as Kevin O’Brien was 92nd (29:39.36), Joe Hill was 105th (26:52.95), Myles McCarthy finished 117th (27:04.42) and Devin Quinn placed 131st with a time of 27:04.72.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--(11/5/11)--Senior Devin Quinn was the top Coast Guard finisher as the Bears placed 16th of the 44 teams at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships at Williams College.
Quinn was 66th overall with a time of 28:22.28 as four Bears placed in the top 100.
Freshman Joe O'Connell was 88th in 28:49.97, sophomore Brad Pienta placed 90th with a time of 28:53.91 while freshman Brian Mussard finished 97th posting a time of 28:58.72 for the Bears. |

 Devin Quinn was named to the NEWMAC All-Academic team for the second straight season. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/4/11)--The United States Coast Guard Academy had four cadet-athletes named to the 2011 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men’s Cross Country All-Academic team.
Seniors Myles McCarthy, a Mechanical Engineering major, Devin Quinn, a Civil Engineering major, and Mark Zanowicz, a Marine and Environmental Sciences major along with junior Austin Fullmer, also a Marine and Environmental Sciences major were honored honored from Coast Guard.
Quinn and Fullmer were named to the team for the second straight season while McCarthy and Zanowicz earned All-Academic honors for the first time in their careers. |

BOSTON, MASS.--(10/31/11)--Coast Guard had a trio of runners earn All-conference honors as the Bears placed third at the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Franklin Park.
Senior Trevor Siperek was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed tenth with a time of 26:33 over the 8K course to earn All-conference honors for the second straight season. The top 14 finishers earn All-conference honors.
Sophomore Gary Ezzo was 11th with a time of 26:43 earning All-conference honors for the first time in his career. |
