 Mike Flint is going back to the NCAA Championships for the third straight season. NEW LONDON, CONN.--(11/13/06)--Senior Mike Flint, who earned All-New England honors for the third straight season by placing a personal best sixth overall at the Division III New England Championship, has earned berth to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship at Wilmington College in West Chester, Ohio on Saturday.
Flint, who finished with a time of 25:53.7 on Saturday, was 14th at the New England Championships as a sophomore and 10th last season.
Last season, as a junior, Flint could not overcome a fall at the NCAA Championships last season as he finished 64th of the 201 runners.
Flint earned All-America honors in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track Championship last season with a 7th place finish.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS.--(11/11/06)--Senior Mike Flint earned All-New England honors for the third straight season by placing a personal best sixth overall leading Coast Guard to an 11th place finish of the 45 teams at the 2006 NCAA Division III Men’s New England Regional Cross Country Championships hosted by Springfield College.
Flint, who finished with a time of 25:53.7, was 14th at the New England Championships as a sophomore and 10th last season. He should get an berth in the NCAA Championship. The field will be announced tomorrow.
Junior Eric Laurel (26:40.1) was 40th, sophomore Mike Persun (26:59.1)was 49th, sophomore Zach Hennighausen (27:03.1)was 54th while sophomore Pat Fernandez (28:00.9)was 108th overall.
The top 35 finishers earn All-New England honors. |

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.--(11/4/06)--Sophomore Shea Quinn was the top Coast Guard finisher as he placed 65th overall at the ECAC Division III Championships.
Coast Guard placed 16th as a team.
Sophomore Jeff Deitel was 106th, junior Chad Beck was 114th and junior Steve Bondira placed 127th for the Bears, who rested their top runners for next week's New England Division III Championships at Springfield College. |

 Senior Mike Flint won the Individual Championship for the 2nd Straight Season SOUTH HADLEY, MASS.--(10/28/06)--Senior Mike Flint won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Cross Country individual championship for the second straight year leading the Bears to a second place finish for the ninth straight season.
Flint won the race with a time of 26:44.70 to earn Runner of the Year honors for the second straight season.
Sophomore Mike Persun was the second best Coast Guard finisher placing 11th to earn All-conference honors for the second straight season.
